Porpy was one of many undersea companions to Aquaman and Aqualad. Like others of its kind, Porpy eagerly assisted Aquaman whenever he received a telepathic summons.
Aqualad was able to tell that Aquaman was an imposter when he rode away on a porpoise that wasn't Porpy, discovering it was really Pomoxis disguised as Aquaman.
