History[]
Atsiul is the leader of the royal guard of Atlantis and highly loyal to Queen Mera. During a mission Atsiul, the rest of the guards were captured by a group of barbarian invaders know as the Auratis, who constantly attacked Atlantis. Mera asked for help from the new Aquaman. Atsiul was too proud, he said that his men escaped on their own merit, making Arthur get mad and challenge him to a duel, the challenge is uneven. Atsiul a warrior is trained and experienced. Arthur was not. Arthur resists for some time, while his natural strength and vigor are worth anything, until a fatal blow that would be the trigger for his rage. He exceeds his strength and power to overcome Atsiul, and Atsiul retreats. Arthur threatens a fatal blow, when the fight is interrupted by the arrival of King Shark, who was hungry, so the two are united against him and become allies.
